Timothy Sands completed his PhD at the Naval Postgraduate School and postdoctoral studies at Stanford University and Columbia University. He is Associate Dean of the Naval Postgraduate School’s Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Science. He has previously served as Chief Academic Officer, Dean, and Senior Military Professor of the Air Force Institute of Technology. He has published research prolifically in archival journals, conference proceedings, a book chapter, in addition to keynote and invitational presentations; and holds one patent in spacecraft attitude control.

Dr. McAndrew has been working at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide since 2004, first as an adjunct then as an Associate Professor in 2009, tenured in 2013 and since 2016 a Full Professor of Aeronautics. He teaches subjects ranging from math, research, aeronautical science, safety, and physics, at both undergraduate and graduate level. Previously to Worldwide, Dr. McAndrew worked for 20 years at a University in London, England, where he ran the wind tunnel laboratories. He has extensive experience in research and participates in conferences and journals. Dr. McAndrew also provides Ph.D. supervision and examination and was a committee member of one of ERAU's first Ph.D. in Aviation. Additionally, he has authored books and is currently writing two more. Dr. McAndrew has taught all over the world -- from England to Iceland, Afghanistan to the Azores, and also Singapore. In his time at Worldwide, he has developed numerous online courses and teaches in class in the European region. He is a Fellow of The Royal Aeronautical Society and several other institutions. His reputation for research has resulted in him being the Editor of several International Journals and frequently is invited to give keynote speeches at conferences all over the world.

G.C. Giakos is the Director of the Laboratory for Cognitive Imaging and Neuromorphic Engineering (CINE), Bioinspired Vision and Autonomous Systems Research, at Manhattan College, NYC. His research is articulated in imaging technology innovation, through the integration of physics and engineering, cognitive machine vision, Industry 4, artificial intelligence, intelligent sensors, target classification and pattern recognition, machine learning, cancer detection, bioinformatics. He has been recognized for "his leadership efforts in advancing the professional goals of IEEE" by receiving the 2014 IEEE-USA Professional Achievement Award" in "recognition of his efforts in strengthening links between industry, government and academia". He has been elected Fellow of the IEEE and Distinguished Fellow of the ONR. His team is the first in the world to explore polarimetric imaging using random laser illumination at NIR for unstained lung cancer tissues and cells characterization; his team is the first in the US to pioneer the introduction and characterization of CZT semiconductors for flat panel radiography. His Dissertation was on the "Detection of Longitudinal EM Waves in Air". He contributed to funding in excess of $6,500,000, as well as he has been awarded with 20 patents and authored more than 250 peer-review papers. Richard W Longman is Professor of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Columbia University, and was Distinguished Romberg Guest Professor, University of\\r\\nHeidelberg, Germany. He received a 50,000 Euro Award for lifetime achievement in research from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the Dirk Brouwer\\r\\nAward from the American Astronautical Society (AAS) for contributions to spacefl ight mechanics. He is Fellow of AAS and AIAA. He served the AAS as Vice\\r\\nPresident - Publications, VP Technical, First Vice President, and Member Board of Directors. His doctorate is from the University of California, San Diego, under\\r\\nProf. R. E. Roberson who did the fi rst study of satellite attitude control in 1951, 6 years before the fi rst satellite. He has co-authored approximately 450 publications.
